Time and planning are necessary for a quality built-in installation. Purchasing a portable allows same-day use, but that is where the advantages end:

• Built-ins allow easy entry, stepping into the water from deck or seating level. Portables force you to climb over a wall.
• Built-ins are able to use gas heating equipment, not being reliant on costly electrical power, as portables are.
• Custom spas are built around you, with personalized hydro-therapy jet placements with no limit on quantity, unlike portable "what-you-see-is-what-you-get."
• Built-ins allow easy tub and jet maintanance from underneath, including modifications and additions. Portables don't allow access to anything but the heating and pump equipment.
• Custom installations locate equipment away from the tub, eliminating the sound of operation. Portables have noisy equipment underneath the box.
• Built-ins are very flexible when designing your new backyard living space. Portables rarely match surroundings.
• Many specialties and "Extras" can be integrated into a built-in project.
